Hillary “I’m in and I’m in to win” for 2008

borderHow wrong could I be? There I was prattling away on the story of Obama’s muslim madrassa education and how it would occupy the weekend political news coverage … and then Hillary did it!

Hillary Rodham Clinton earlier this morning announced her 2008 White House bid by posting her announcement on her web site HillaryClinton.com.

Without sharing more than a few soundbites she announced “I’m in and I’m in to win”.

The battle has begun and not just against front runner’s Obama and Edwards. Hillary’s video confirmed her participation in the Democratic party’s onslaught against the weakened and laregly ineffective President Bush.

Hillary said she’d start by “… doing everything in my power to limit the damage George W. Bush can do. But only a new president will be able to undo Bush’s mistakes and restore our hope and optimism.”

With the ‘State of the Union‘ address this Tuesday - this week will be fascinating.

With so much at stake in 2007 and 2008 for the U.S. and the world. This has to get interesting for us all!

  1. Dr BLT Says:

Merle Haggard wrote a song that was flattering to Hillary. This brought out The Fightin’ Side of Me.
So I felt compelled to counter with this:

I watched the new HBO television movie
RECOUNT last night, and many of the tactics
employed by the over zealous George W
supporters back in 2000, like trying to stop
the vote recount, trying to get Gore to quit
before all the votes were in, and the smear
tactics against Al Gore, are now being done
by the far left democrats, against Hillary Clinton.
Also, like Gore, Hillary could win the popular vote,
but, like the 2000 George W supporters, the
Obama supporters don’t care about this point,
even though it’s the bedrock of democracy.
Unlike Gore who quit his bid for the oval office,
rather than stand up against the courts, Hillary
has the guts and Presidential qualities to stay in
    the race, and win.
    Vote for Hillary Clinton ‘08

I’m sick of all these people who are calling for Clinton to drop out. They are probably quitters in their own lives, or they’d admire Hillary’s tenacity, and know that is one of the most important qualities of a leader. In addition, the foundation of a democratic society is to count ALL the votes, and not to prematurely pull the rug, just to serve the needs of a particular political party. I’ve also noticed that most of the anti-Hillary postings do not attack her on substantive issues, but instead merely consist of nasty insults. This says more about Senator Clinton’s detractors than about Mrs. Clinton. Also, the lock-step nature of the anti-Hillary blogs appear to be a coordinated and organized effort by the Obama campaign.
